The Collaborate App is part of our CloudVoice service and provides you with easy access and many advanced features which tie in with your normal CloudVoice office phone service.

As part of our COVID-19 response, we are making this app available to all our CloudVoice clients free of charge for three months. Please contact our support team and they will be happy to get you set up – it only takes us a minute to activate the service for you, and you will be up and running as soon as you install the app and sign in. It is super easy and quick!

As a quick recap, our CloudVoice service is a fully managed Voice Over IP (VoIP) service that uses your internet connection to route calls to your office phone. In most cases we would have set up your phones and internet connection to ensure that everything works optimally at your office.

These apps extend your business phone service and makes it available to you even when you’re not at your desk. Apps are available for Android phones, iPhone, Apple Mac and Windows PCs.

At its core, the app provides you with full phone functionality including:

  • making and receiving phone calls (of course!)
  • putting calls on hold, transferring them to a colleague
  • picking up calls from a pickup group
  • being part of hunt group
  • managing your phone settings, such as
    • Do Not Disturb
    • Call Forwarding
    • Remote Office
    • Call Twinning
    • Call Waiting

The app builds on this by adding a host of additional features, including

  • Visual Voicemail (our favourite! no more painful voicemail menus!)
  • Contacts Integration (lookup and dial Outlook / phone contacts)
  • Seamlessly pull a call from your desk phone to the app so that you can walk away and continue the conversation
  • Chat messaging with your colleagues
  • Video calling with your colleagues
  • Dial-in audio conferencing
  • Full conferencing including audio, video and screen sharing. Anyone can join by dialing in, or directly from a browser without installing any plugins or software

This isn’t a comprehensive list of functionality but hopefully gives you a good overview of what the app can do. It builds on basic phone functionality and means you are not tied to your desk to stay in contact with colleagues, customers or suppliers. Everyone just dials your normal number and you can stay in full contact regardless of where you are.
